COUPLES THERAPY IN TIJUANA AND ONLINE

Couples Therapy in Tijuana

Perhaps you have been having the same argument for months. Maybe you feel more like roommates than partners, or something happened that made trust difficult. You don’t need to know exactly how to fix the relationship before coming in. We can start by making sense of what’s happening between you and finding a way forward that feels honest for both of you.

A SPACE FOR BOTH OF YOU

Love may still be there, even when connection feels hard

Many couples spend months trying to work things out on their own, only to end up in the same argument, the same silence, or the same distance. Therapy can help you slow that cycle down, understand what is happening underneath it, and respond to each other differently.

Distance

You’ve started to feel far apart

You may still share a home and a routine, yet meaningful conversation, affection, or intimacy feels harder to reach.

Conflict

Even small conversations turn into conflict

A simple conversation can quickly become criticism, defensiveness, withdrawal, or words that are difficult to take back.

Trust

Trust no longer feels steady

Lies, jealousy, secrecy, or unresolved hurt can leave both of you questioning what is real, safe, or possible.

COMMON REASONS COUPLES SEEK THERAPY

You don’t have to wait until the relationship reaches a breaking point

Couples come to therapy for many reasons. These are some of the concerns I most often help partners work through.

01

Communication that keeps breaking down

You want to understand each other, but conversations leave one or both of you feeling blamed, dismissed, or unheard.

02

Infidelity and rebuilding trust

Something happened that changed how you see each other and how secure the relationship feels.

03

Emotional distance and loss of intimacy

Life together continues, but warmth, affection, or sexual and emotional intimacy has faded.

04

Jealousy, insecurity, and control

Checking, suspicion, reassurance-seeking, or controlling behavior has begun to take over the relationship.

05

Life changes and stressful seasons

Parenthood, work, grief, a move, or financial pressure has changed the balance between you.

06

Difficult decisions about the relationship

You need a clearer, more thoughtful way to decide whether to stay together, redefine the relationship, take space, or separate.

AFTER INFIDELITY

Healing is not the same as moving on quickly

After an affair, even ordinary moments can feel uncertain. There may be anger, fear, repeated questions, or a painful need to understand what happened and whether trust can exist again.

Therapy isn’t about forcing forgiveness or convincing you to stay together. It is a place to speak honestly, take responsibility, understand the impact of what happened, and decide what repair, change, or closure would need to look like.

WHAT THE PROCESS CAN LOOK LIKE

We begin with understanding, then work toward change

1

Understand

We make room for both perspectives and clarify what each of you is experiencing and hoping for.

2

Identify

We identify the patterns that keep pulling you into conflict, defensiveness, withdrawal, or distance.

3

Change

We practice clearer communication, healthier boundaries, repair, and new ways of responding when tension rises.

4

Integrate

We bring what works into daily life and adapt the process as your relationship and goals evolve.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What you may be wondering before we begin

Do we need to agree on everything before starting?

Not at all. Couples often arrive with very different versions of what has been happening. We begin by making room for both perspectives and identifying what the relationship needs now.

Is the goal to keep us together at all costs?

No. My role isn’t to persuade you to stay together or to separate. Therapy helps you understand the relationship more clearly and make decisions with greater honesty and care.

What if there has been infidelity?

We can address the hurt, responsibility, unanswered questions, and the conditions that would be needed for repair. We can also help you make a thoughtful decision about what comes next.

Can we attend sessions online?

Yes. You can meet with me in person in Tijuana or attend sessions online.

Can sessions be held in English?

Yes. I provide couples therapy in both English and Spanish, and we can use the language that feels most natural for the conversation.

What happens in the first session?

The first session gives us a chance to understand your relationship, what brought you in, and what each of you hopes will change. You do not need to arrive with a shared explanation or a perfect plan.

When is it a good time to seek couples therapy?

You don’t have to wait for a crisis. Therapy can help whenever the same patterns keep repeating, connection feels harder, or you want support navigating an important change together.

Can therapy help if we are considering separation?

Yes. Therapy can provide a calmer space to understand what has happened, consider your options, and make thoughtful decisions about staying together, changing the relationship, or separating.
