A neurodivergent adult in affirming therapy

NEURODIVERGENT THERAPY IN TIJUANA AND ONLINE

Adult ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD

You should not have to mask in order for therapy to make sense. We can understand your needs and work in a way that respects how your mind actually works.

UNDERSTANDING YOU BEYOND A LABEL

Your mind does not need to work like everyone else’s

You may have learned to hide your needs, force yourself to meet expectations, or repeatedly explain why certain things are difficult. We can look at your history with less judgment and more clarity.

Integrating different needs

Make sense of the tension between structure and novelty, rest and stimulation, clarity and flexibility.

COMMON REASONS TO BEGIN

You do not need a formal diagnosis to start

You are welcome whether you already have a diagnosis, received one later in life, are being assessed, or are only beginning to wonder if you may be neurodivergent.

01

Masking and burnout

Maintaining an acceptable version of yourself takes so much energy that you feel exhausted or disconnected.

02

Late diagnosis

You want to revisit your story with a new explanation and process relief, anger, grief, or uncertainty.

03

Sensory overload

Noise, social demands, and overstimulation keep your body in a constant state of alert.

04

Relationships and communication

You want to express your needs and build relationships where you do not have to translate yourself constantly.

05

Executive functioning

Organization, task initiation, transitions, routines, time, or energy feel difficult to manage.

06

Self-esteem and identity

You want to separate who you are from years of criticism, shame, or feeling that you are always doing something wrong.

A NEURODIVERSITY-AFFIRMING APPROACH

The goal is not to make you less yourself

We are not trying to erase traits, force you to appear neurotypical, or turn progress into another demand you must meet.

We work to understand your needs, reduce exhaustion, and build a life that feels more like your own, using supports you can realistically sustain.

HOW WE WILL WORK

A collaborative and flexible process

1

Get to know you

We explore your history, strengths, needs, and the situations that create the most strain.

2

Understand patterns

We identify masking, overload, executive demands, relationship patterns, and body responses.

3

Build your own strategies

We create practical supports that respect how you process, communicate, and organize.

4

Adjust without judgment

We review what helps, what drains you, and what needs to change without turning progress into pressure.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Before your first session

Do I need a diagnosis to begin?

No. We can work together if you already have a diagnosis, are being assessed, or are only beginning to wonder whether you may be neurodivergent.

What happens in the first session?

It is a chance to get to know you, understand what brings you to therapy, and discuss how you prefer to communicate and work. You do not need to have everything figured out.

Do you work with ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD?

Yes. I work with adults with ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD, including people with late diagnoses or many years of masking.

Will therapy try to change my traits?

No. A neurodiversity-affirming approach focuses on understanding your needs, reducing strain, and building support rather than making you appear like someone else.

Can sessions be online?

Yes. I offer in-person therapy in Tijuana and online therapy.

Can sessions be held in English?

Yes. Sessions are available in both English and Spanish.

A FIRST STEP, WITHOUT PRESSURE

You do not have to justify the way you are

We can begin with a first session, understand what you are experiencing, and identify the kinds of support that may help.
